Gizmo is a mogwai that came with three rules that were never to be broken: do not expose him to light, especially sunlight, which will kill him; do not let him come in contact with water; and above all, never feed him after midnight. When Gizmo got wet, he spawned other Mogwais. When they were fed after midnight, these new Mogwais transformed into dangerous Gremlins. The most dangerous of all was Stripe. Gizmo helped his owner Billy defeat these Gremlins when they ran loose in Kingston Falls.
